Lelia Mier Meche, 84, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 1:45pm. She was a native of Rayne, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00pm until 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, December 23, 2015 from 9:00am until service time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11:00am at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her sons, Kirk Meche and wife Ann, Kevin Meche and wife Sandra; daughter, Kate Meche Franklin; brother, Harvey Mier; sister, Wilma Mier Meche; grandchildren, Derek Franklin and wife Tara, Michael Meche and wife Ashley, Matthew Meche, Nicholas Meche, Megan Meche; and great grandchildren, Jackson Franklin and Cadence Fonseca. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Elson Meche, Parents: Alcide Mier and Edmae Mier, Brother: Leroy Mier, Sisters: Jeanette Mouton, Edna Estillete,  She was a parishioner ofMaria Immacolata Catholic Church.  The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center's CCU along with Doctors Cinnata, Dupont, Bourgeois, and Denise LeBlanc for the care and kindness received during her illness. She never met a stranger and was quick with a smile. She will be sadly missed by all.
