James (Jimmy) “Catdaddy” Farmer James Malcolm Farmer, 70, a native of Swartz, LA and longtime resident of Houma, La passed away at his home at 8:20 pm on Dec. 6, 2015. A memorial service will be held at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma on Dec. 19, 2015. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am with service at 11:00 am. He is survived by his wife Judith Savoie Farmer of Houma, La and his brother Wayne Farmer of Sterlington, La. Stepson Dennis Guidry, Stepdaughters, Shannon Jakabosky and Shelly Savoie; Grandchildren, Madison & Conner Guidry and Laken and Carly Jakabosky and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Geraldine Farmer, sister Sharon Farmer Madden and nephew Clint Madden. He was a veteran of the National Guard and employed by United Vision Logistics. He will be remembered for his love of life, dancing, fishing and as he liked to say “spending time with my lovely wife”. He was also a longtime member of the Houma Selucrey Sophistocats.
