Philip “Pete” Joseph Duplantis, 86, died Monday, December 7, 2015 at 12:43 AM. He was a native of Little Caillou, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2015 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Monday, December 14, 2015 from 8:30am to service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 14, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
He is survived by his Loving wife of sixty-four years: Gloria "Billie" Blanchard Duplantis, Sons: Doyle T. Duplantis, Lynn P. Duplantis and fiance' Debra, Daughters: Roxanne D. Jones and husband Billy, Melinda "Mindy" Green, Sister: Mona Songe and husband Leroy, He is survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his, Parents: Hayes Joseph Duplantis and Leola Lyons Duplantis, Grandson: Nicolas Duplantis,
He had a very strong faith in God and was a member of St. Francis Cathedral. Pete was a retired building contractor. He was a great friend to many. Everyone loved to listen to his stories. He had a very strong faith in God and was a member of St. Francis Cathedral. Pete is also the last surviving founding member of the Whiskey Pass Rodeo Assoc. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
