Douglas James Clement, 66, died Friday, December 4, 2015 at 01:38 AM. He was a native of Thibodaux and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., with a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Bernadette Prejean Clement; mother, Shirley Marie Hymel Clement; daughters, Rhonda Clement Corte, and Donna Clement Cuneo and husband, Bret; brothers, Richard M. Clement and wife, Gussie, Wayne A. Clement and wife, Wendy, and Glenn P. Clement and wife, Cheryl; sisters, Cynthia Clement Ruiz and husband, Jan, and Jennifer Clement Merritt and companion, Ricky Hotard; grandchildren, Douglas Gage Corte, Lauren Ashley Cuneo, Paige Yvonne Corte and Sydney Claire Cuneo; sisters-in-law Evelyn F. Prejean and Marilyn B. Prejean; brothers-in-law Johnnie F. Prejean, Jr., M.D., Steven M. Prejean and Rene E. Prejean; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Junius Clement; in laws, Johnnie F. and Gladys F. Prejean; and brother-in-law Louis J. Prejean. He was Vice President of U.S. Operations with Sparrows Engineering & Operations. He never met a stranger and was admired by many. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, die hard Saints and LSU fan, and devoted to his family. He was the favorite brother-in-law.
