Noah Roddy, Jr.

Noah Louis Roddy, Jr., 87, a natiove of McAlester, Oklahoma and a resident of Houma, Louisiana died Monday, March 23, 2009 at 7:40 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Schriever, Louisiana. Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church at 11:00 a.m. with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his son, Wayne Roddy and wife Charlene of Lafayette, La.; daughters, Dale Schwirzky and husband Raymond of Friendswood, Texas; Judy Rodriguez and husband Anthony "Coon" of Houma; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Cecilia Prejeant Roddy; his parents, Noah and Ellen Hebert Roddy, Sr.; granddaughter, Stacey Roddy; brothers, Jimmy and Morris Roddy; sister, Agnes Roddy. He was the owner of Launderease of 52 years. A Member and past president of the Acadiana Aistream Association, usher at St. Bridget Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. A veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church.
