Cheryl Marie LeBoeuf, 37, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 09:10 AM after a courageous sixteen year battle with brain cancer. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc, and Wednesday, December 2, 2015 from 9:00am until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2
She is survived by her, Parents: Daniel and Dorothy "Dot" Scurto LeBoeuf, two sisters; Julie LeBoeuf Waalk and husband Chad Waalk, Jenny LeBoeuf Valure and husband Ross Valure, two nephews; Connor and Cameron Waalk and one niece, Kallie Waalk. Cheryl is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Charles and Dorothy Doiron Scurto Sr., paternal grandparents; Bruce and Beulah Boudreaux LeBoeuf and one godchild, Tyler Christopher Waalk.
Cheryl was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She has touched the lives of so many people with her contagious smile and loving heart. Time spent with her cousins, nieces, nephews and family were some of the happiest times in her life.
Cheryl was a 1996 graduate of VCHS. She received her bachelor's degree from Nicholls State University in Communicative Disorders in 2000. Cheryl then received her master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology from LSUHSC. Cheryl enjoyed working as a speech therapist in the Terrebonne Parish School System. She also worked as a private therapist and crossfit instructor. She was a member of Phi Mu Sorority, Chapter Kappa Eta at Nicholls State University. The family would like to give a special thanks to all her family and friends who have given so much love and care during her time of need, most especially to Robert and Vicki Kearns and Robert and Debbie Armstrong and their families. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Acadian Elementary's Relay for Life Team, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or a charity of your choosing that affects your family or loved ones.
