Elsie Ira Breaux

Elsie Ira Breaux, 83, a native of Chester, Mississippi and resident of Bayou Black, Louisiana, died Monday, March 9, 2009. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at the church with burial in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Rivers Anthony Breaux, Sr.; sons, Robert Patrick Breaux and wife Evelyn, Craig James Breaux, Charles Frederick Breaux and wife Mona; daughters, Peggy Breaux Kraemer and Nancy Breaux Bonvillain and husband O'Neill; brother, Wayne B. Crowson and sisters, Myrtis Barrett and Alberta Philips, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Brown and Carrie Lidell Crowson, sons, Rivers "Tony" Breaux, Jr; brothers, Earl O. Crawson, Wafford T. Crowson, Everett A. Crowson and Burry Crowson; sisters, Burlon Cox and Bethie "Marie" Crowson. She was a member of St. Anthony Ladies Alter Society and a member of St. Anthony Church Choir.
