Robert Gerald Crochet

Robert Gerald Crochet, 66, a native of Houma, Louisiana and a resident of Grand Caillou, Louisiana died on Sunday, March 8, 2009. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Grand Caillou Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife Gloria Dardar Crochet; sons, Gerald Billiot and wife Amy and Robin Crochet; stepsons, Clarence Billiot, James Williams, Jr., and wife Terry, Herman Williams and wife Tina, Roland Williams and wife Dorothy and David Williams; daughter, Robin Sanchez; step-daughters, Rita Billiot and Betty Williams Carbo and husband Gerald; brothers Vincent Bergeron; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphone and Antoinette Ponville Crochet; brothers Jake Bergeron, Donald Crochet and Elward Crochet; sister, Beverly Dardar, Shirley Trahan, Angelle Trahan, Betty Fonseca and Doris Brister. He served in the Army National Guard. He was a member of Grand Caillou Baptist Church.
