Cesare Del Greco, 79, died Friday, October 23, 2015. He was a native of New York City, NY and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at a St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Mary Del Greco, daughter, Cathy Del Greco, granddaughter, Taylor Del Greco, and loving friend, Ezequiel Mezquita. Also survived by other family members, Vicky Hopf and husband Mike, Guy Del Greco and wife Sandy, and grandchildren Jake and Emily Del Greco. He was preceded in death by his parents, Guerriero and Rina Del Greco. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Cesare was born and raised in New York, and he worked for several years with the McAllister Brothers as a Harbor Pilot and an Executive. He moved to Houma in 2001, and he began work with Offshore Express as President. After his retirement, he enjoyed assisting the priest with masses at Heritage Manor and spending time with his loved ones. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the doctors and nurses of Terrebonne General who gave such great care to him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Cesare Del Greco to Saint Joseph Abbey, located at 752376 River Road, Saint Benedict, LA 70457.
