Dion Oncale

Dion Anthony Oncale, 47, a native and resident of Terrebonne Parish died at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He is survived by his father, Dennis Oncale and stepmother, Susan Oncale, of Houma; his mother, Merle “Pookie” Dupre of Houma; one brother, Keith Oncale of Houma; one sister, Stephanie Holden and husband, William, of Houma; niece, Joni Oncale of Houma; great-niece, Madison Oncale of Houma; his aunt, Charlotte LaMaison of Thibodaux; his uncle, Terry Oncale and wife, Sharon, of Thibodaux; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Elfray J. Dupre; his grandparents, Shelby and Floyd Belanger Lirette and Dennis P. and Carrie Richard Oncale; and one nephew, Tyler J. Oncale. He enjoyed motor sports. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
