Ada Mae Peltier Guidry, 85, a native of Chackbay and resident of Houma, died at 9:50 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, 2009.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Larry A. Guidry Jr. and wife, Janet, of Ambridge, Pa., and Bruce E. Guidry M.D. and wife, Pam, of Houma; one daughter, Cheryl G. Cunningham and husband, Eric, of Houma; one brother, Val Amato and wife, Betty, of Lutcher; one sister, Mrs. Emile “Rosalie” Heltz of Lutcher; seven grandchildren, Tina Leavitt, Michael Guidry, Scott Guidry, Nancy Claire Bernard, J.W. “John” Bordelon, Christine Bordelon and Ian Bordelon; six great-grandchildren, Justin Leavitt, Caroline Bernard, James Guidry, Sarah Catherine Bernard, Colleen Guidry and Austin Bordelon; and sister-in-law, Carol Amato of Lutcher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry August Guidry Sr.; her parents, Louis Peltier and Elizabeth Rodrigue Peltier Amato; two brothers, P.J. Amato and Edward Peltier; two sisters, Julia Peltier and Mildred Peltier; her stepfather, Joseph Amato; and one grandchild, Amanda Guidry.
She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
