She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Carolyn was a 1950 graduate of Terrebonne High School. While at Terrebonne, she met her husband, Billy. In 1948, Carolyn and Billy were selected as King and Queen of Terrebonne's Homecoming Court. After high school, Carolyn worked various office positions until she became employed with the Terrebonne Parish School Board for over twenty years. She enjoyed the simple things in life: spending time with her family, playing bridge, weekends at the camp, and her many trips to Florida with her friends. Dot, Tookie, Margaret and our mom would always refer to themselves as the "Golden Girls". Carolyn was a dedicated mother to her children and always put their needs above her own. She was the kind of mother who would do whatever it took to make sure her children had everything they needed to be successful in life. She was a strong woman who was determined never to give up. She was a role model for her three children. Carolyn has waited two and a half years to see her amazing husband "Billy" again, and we would like you to celebrate with us in knowing they are together once again! We will never be able to thank her caregivers, Laura, Shaquanna, Courtney, Gus, Candice, Edwina, as well as the many others at The Suites of Sugar Mill Point who touched her life the last two and a half years. In memory of Carolyn, we request for her family and friends to take time out of their busy schedules to visit the elderly. They are our precious jewels.
