Herbert Ledet, Sr.

Herbert John Ledet, Sr., 86, died Monday, October 12, 2015 at 03:35 AM.  He was a native of Westwego, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., and Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 8:00AM until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc., with burial to follow in Terrebonne Memorial Park Mausoleum. He is survived by his son, Herbert Jr and wife Connie and Danny Ledet & fiance Alice,daughter, Linda & husband Mike Lottinger, and Cheryl & husband Chris Schouest, brother, Richard Sr. and Milton Ledet, Sr. and grandchildren, Katie Ledet, Ryan Lottinger, Chris Schouest Jr. Cryshelle Schouest Patterson, Phd., Crystal Schouest Brooks, and Christian Schouest and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marie “Shirley” Breaux Ledet of 57 years, parents, Norris and Agnes Thibodaux Ledet, step-mother, Annie Bourgeois Ledet and sister, Dorina Pitre. He was an avid fisherman. He was also a fruit and vegetable vendor distributing products house to house for over 40 years.
