Gerald Pitre

Gerald Joseph Pitre, 73, died Friday, August 21, 2015 at 11:30 PM. He was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Gibson, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 from 9:00AM until service time at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM at the church with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery. He is survived by his Spouse: Antoinette Faucheaux Pitre, Sons: Jerry J. Pitre, Leo A. Pitre, Greg Pitre and wife Gypsy, Brothers: Charles J. Pitre Sr., Junius J. Pitre Jr., Sisters: Mary Ann Pitre Blanchard, Carolyn Crochet Liner, and Grandchildren: Jade E. Pitre and Fiance' Kalep Q. Rogers, Jerry J. Pitre Jr., Quinn M. Pitre, Bre A. Pitre, Andrew H. Pitre, and Alexandra E. Pitre. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Junius Joseph Pitre Sr. and Velma Bergeron Pitre, and Step Father Carroll Crochet, and Grandson: Harrison Thomas Pitre. He was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Gerald was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, gardening, golfing, and playing pool. He enjoyed his vacations with the entire family. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Haydel Memorial Hospice and his buddy Nathanial for their love and care during this time. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The family request in lieu of flowers to have donations made to The Foundation for TGMC earmarked for local Parkinson's Support Group.
