Lydia Lucille Crochet O’Neal, 88, a native of Morgan City and resident of Houma, died at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at 11:00 at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the word will be Saturday at the funeral home, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
She is survived by two sons, Lyness Hebert Jr. and George Hebert and wife, Cathy Hebert; three daughters, Jane Spellman, Gayle Cross and husband, Martin Cross, and Kay Faust and husband, Blaine Faust; one sister, Wilma Rhodes; one brother, Harry P. Crochet; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lyness Hebert Sr. and Lloyd O’Neal Jr.; her parents, Henry Clay Crochet and Melodia Gaspard Crochet; two sisters, Shirley Smith and Dorothy Mae Crochet; two brothers, Wilbur Crochet and Meyer P. Pisani; one son-in-law, William Spellman; and one daughter-in-law, Sue Hebert.
She was a great seamstress and loved ceramics. Remembered for her caring ways and loving heart for all who knew her.
