Carmelite Landry Arceneaux, 85, died Saturday, August 15, 2015. She was a native of LaPlace, LA and resident of Dularge, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Interment: St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. She is survived by her son, Lynn Thomas Arceneaux and wife Becky of Mauriceville, TX, daughters, Kathleen Authement and husband Wayne of Montegut, LA and Mary Susan Arceneaux of Houma, LA., eleven grandchildren, Melissa Danos, Roy Arceneaux, Jr., Monique Arceneaux, Charmaine Arceneaux, Benny Authement, Jason Authement, Sam Authement, Claude Authement, Alice Webster, Christi Glisson, Paul Arceneaux and twenty-three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and sister, Ruth Landry Zappa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel J. and Celeste Porche Landry husband, Leslie Roy Arceneaux son, Roy J. Arceneaux, Sr. brother, Samuel J. Landry, Jr. sister, Grace Landry Brashier. She was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church. Carmelite was a homemaker and loved cooking, baking and flower gardening. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cared deeply for her family. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Carmelite to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center Foundation located at 8166 Main Street, Suite 101, Houma, LA 70360.
