Paul Brennen Benoit, 92, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 06:47 PM. He was a native of Lafayette, La and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 9:00 AM until funeral time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bertha Miller Benoit; son, Paul Benoit and wife, Son Hui; daughters, Cynthia B. Gaudet and husband, Rodney, and Karen B. Blanchard and husband, Daniel; brother, Lawrence Benoit and wife, Alice; sister, Verlie B. Mier; grandchildren, Jeff Gaudet and wife, Cherise, Ryan Gaudet and wife, Andie, Kim Blanchard and husband, Ian, Danielle Blanchard and husband, Kyle, Brittany Blanchard, Alison B. Howard and husband, Tim, and Kellie B. Kerstetter and husband, Brian; great-grandchildren, Brennen and Jace Gaudet, Bailey J. Malbrough and husband, Travis, Dylan, Owen and Mollie Gaudet, Samantha, Harper and Hayden Marie, Christian and Carter Maynard, Philip Kerstetter, and Helena Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Honore' and Elvire’ Lopez Benoit; son, Philip Brennen Benoit; brothers, Darren and Aaron Benoit; sister, Mary B. Badineaux; in laws, Philip and Patricia Miller. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He retired from Dow Chemical as a branch manager for 40 years. He served in the US Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He was a member of the VFW in Jennings, LA. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank Dr. Russell Henry and Staff, Dr. Craig Walker and Staff, Terrebonne Home Care, Home Instead Senior Care, KSI Companion Care, TGMC Doctors, nurses and Emergency Room Staff, and Acadian Ambulance for their love, support and care.
