Dora Zeller

d. July 26, 2015

Dora Nell Durham Chauvin Zeller, 81, a native of Excelsior, Arkansas, and longtime resident of Houma, made her journey home to her Savior, Sunday, July 26, 2015. A graveside service will be at a later date for family and close friends. She is survived by her sons, John D. Chauvin and wife, Pam, and Matthew and wife, Susan; daughter-in-law, Kathy Robinson Chauvin; grandchildren, Toby John Chauvin, Todd David Chauvin, Brandon Chauvin, Kristin C. Landry, Meghan C. Kohl, Tanner Freeman and Matthew Chauvin Jr.; great-grandchildren, Madison, Reese, Logan John, Lilli Grace, Kennedy and Kaylie Chauvin, Ainsley and Maya Kohl, and Braxton and Parker Landry; and stepdaughter, Prissy Zeller. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John David Chauvin Sr. and George A. Zeller; son, Mark Anthony Chauvin; parents, Nell Talbott Durham Hall and Newt Durham; and stepfather, George Hall. Dora worked for many years as a cook for St. Francis School and Terrebonne Parish schools. She will be sadly missed by many. She especially loved going to her great-grandchildren's birthday parties and having lunch with them. Little did she know that she was the one to put a smile on everyone's face. Sadly, the Oaks of Houma will miss their Saints' cheerleader during football season. Thank you to the employees of the Oaks of Houma for being such wonderful friends to Mrs. Dora. She truly loved you all very much. Special thanks goes to TGMC's CCU Nursing Team, Kurt, Troy, Tony and Jennifer, Dr. Russell Henry and Dr. Berry for their special care. Thanks also goes to Sadie Chauvin for keeping the family up to date whenever they couldn't be there.
