Vella Duplantis

Vella Mae “Teedy” Duplantis, 82, died Friday, July 24, 2015. She was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her sons, Terry Duplantis and wife Gayle and Dwayne Duplantis and wife Susan daughters, Helen Siegrist, Lee Ann Breaux and husband Murphy, Gerri Champagne and companion Timothy, Donna Bienvenu and husband Craig, Laura Melancon and husband Danny, eighteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin Olivier, Sr. and Julia Olivier, husband, Harry Lee Joseph Duplantis, grandchild, Quinn Crochet, two son-in-laws, Mark Kelly and Ray Siegrist. Teedy enjoyed attending Mass, spending time with family, friends, and going to the casino. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church in Houma. In lieu of flowers the family request that contributions be made in memory of Vella to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 6931 Arlington Road, 2nd Floor, Bethesda, MD 20814.
