Joyce Mary Bascle Guidry, 94, a native and life long resident of Bourg went to her eternal rest on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church. Burial: St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jasper “Jay” Savoie; her second husband, I. P. “Peenie” Guidry; her mother, Alice Walker Bascle; her father, Lionel P. Bascle; four sisters, Bernice Whipple, Mamie Shane, Amelia Whipple and Adeline Falgout; and two brothers, Harold and Vayne Bascle. She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. Her cats were her children and she loved gardening. The family would like to thank Heritage Manor, the nurses and staff for her care.
