Wilbur Lirette

Wilbur ‘Bill” Francis Lirette, 96, died Saturday, July 11, 2015. He was a native of Montegut and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Betty Jo Greer Lirette, sons, Mike (Liz) Lirette of Vancouver, BC, Ronnie Duke of Bourg, LA and Gary Lirette of Waynesboro, MS, daughters, Susan (Warren) Massia of Natchitoches, LA and Jackie Lirette of Houma, LA, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and nuerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Lirette was an Air Force Veteran and a former Mud Engineer for Texaco. He was an avid hunter and gardener. He was a sports enthusiast and loved coaching Little League Baseball. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. The family requests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in memory of Mr. Lirette to the charity of your choice.
