Jeanie Chauvin

Jeanie Ann Chauvin, age 64, passed away peacefully in her sleep onTuesday, June 2, 2015. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She is survived by her, daughter, Angel LeBouef and son-in-law Eddy Ozmun, grandaughters, Hallie and Mariah Fields, step-grandaughter, Abigail Barrios, brothers, Horace (Darline) Chauvin, Richard (Linda) Chauvin, and Donald (Theresa) Chauvin special cousin, Jeanette Dufrene and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by, Veron “Chock” LeBouef, her mother and father, Milfred Sr., and Esther Melancon, baby sister, Theresa and her brother Milfred “Jr.” Chauvin, Jr. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jeanie had a very courageous and joyous spirit. Her fight with cancer is done. She always excepted God’s will for her life. She treasured each and every day of life. God has called her home where she will be living forever in peace and happiness. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. Immediately following the Funeral Mass, the family will hold a Celebration of Life gathering at 213 Sunny Acres Street in Chauvin.
