Joyce Frances Tipton, 84, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015.
She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
A private Chrisitan Funeral Service will be held at the Harvest Cathedral of Houma.
Christian burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.
She is survived by her,
sons, Larry (Dena) Pitre, Jules (Deborah) Boquet and Willard (Roberta) Boquet,
daughter, Barbara Pitre Wilson,
thirteen grandchildren,
twenty-seven great-grandchildren,
eleven great-great-grandchildren, and
close friend Roland Gautreaux,
numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her,
husband, Curtis Tipton,
parents, Irvin and Emma LeBouef Bonvillain,
sister, Eula “Marie” Sovine, and
brothers, Earl, Allen and Mickey Pitre.
She was a member of Harvest Cathedral.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and cherished her pet dogs.
Joyce loved the outdoors and was a shrimper, crochet and quilt maker and made custom dolls.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in memory of Joyce to the Messiah Montessori School in Houma.
