James Osburn Modisette, 82, died Monday, May 25, 2015. He was a native of Haynesville, LA and resident of Gray, LA. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Friday, May 29, 2015 from 10 AM until service time at 11 AM at First Baptist of Houma Graveside services will be held Saturday May 30, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Shady Grove Cemetery; Haynesville,LA He is survived by his, DAUGHTERS: Marr Shan & husband Willard Cagle, Cidney & husband Timmy Ordoyne, and Darcee & husband Russell Bex BROTHER: Robert & wife JoAnn Modisette SISTER: Joan & husband Ralph McGinnis BROTHER-IN-LAW: Charles Wayne Crump & forever friend Nancy Ellington GRANDCHILDREN: Drew & wife Sharon Pope, Derrick & wife Alexandra Pope, Blake & wife Heather Ordoyne, Baylor Ordoyne, Dallas& wife Hanna Cagle, Matthew and Megan Cagle, Logan & Ryan Bex GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN:Alexis, Samantha, Aaden, Aubrianna and Reagan Pope, Brayden and Kenley Ordoyne. He was preceded in death by his, SPOUSE OF 59 YEARS: Frances Crump Modisette SISTER & BROTHER-IN-LAW: Earline Modisette Britnell and husband Elton He was retired from Louisiana Land and Exploration Co since 1987 and was a member and Deacon at First Baptist Church of Houma. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a skilled woodworker.
