Eva Jane Fortner, 82, died Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was a native of Alabama and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery She is survived by her, daughter, Debbie Rushing of Houma sisters, Flora Oakes and Panzie Braun (Edward) grandchildren, Brian Rushing (Bonnie), Brandon Rushing (Aimee), and Dennis Fortner and great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Sawyer Rushing. She was preceded in death by her, parents, William and Ruby Shirley, son, Roger Fortner, son-in-law, Wayne Rushing and numerous sisters and brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
