Velma Chauvin Hamner, 99, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
She was a native of Edgard, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
Burial: Magnolia Cemetery.
She is survived by her,
sons, John Charles “Mike” (Robbin) Hamner, Gordon (Nancy) Hamner, William “Dickie” (Sue) Hamner, Kenneth (Laurie) Hamner and Clyde Hamner, daughters, Alice Hamner Brien (Darryl) and Catherine Hamner Guilbeau (Eddie), nineteen grandchildren and
twenty-five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her,
parents, Guy Richard and Mary Aimee Duthu Chauvin,
husband, John Charles Hamner, Sr.
son, David Hamner,
daughters, Pat Hamner, Mary Hamner Andre,
brothers, Gordon, Roland and Guy Chauvin,
sisters, Myrle Chauvin Clifton, Earnestine “Butsy” Chauvin Ratliff, Charlotte Chauvin Bearden, Miriam Chauvin McCain and Bernice Chauvin Campbell, daughter-in-law, Christine Ledet Hamner, son-in-law, Gene Andre.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
