Jesus said to her, “Did I not tell you that if you believe you will see the glory of God.” John:11:40. A loving mother, spirited grandmother and a servant of the Lord, Wanda went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2015. She was 85, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Houma and a long-time member of Living Word Church.
She is survived by her,
Sons: William (BILL) Falgout and partner Laura Laub of Baton Rouge, James (JIM) & wife Judy Falgout of Austin, Texas; Daughters: Jane & husband Gary Estes of St.Amant,LA, Betsy & husband Kent Pierret of Lafayette,LA., Lauren & husband Bruce Chopin of Concord, N.C.,Kathleen (KEENY) and husband Jan Loupe of Houma and Robyn Falgout Moss of Raceland; Grandchildren, Jacob Estes and Ross Estes, Brooke Welter , Luke Falgout, Ryan Pierret, Tyler Pierret, Seth Pierret, Justin Chopin, Jason Chopin, Blair Chopin, Kristen Loupe Plaisance, Katie Loupe, Jake Loupe, Leslie Moss, Matthew Moss, Clay Moss and Jenna Falgout and also 11 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her,
Husband: Wollen Joseph Falgout, to whom she was a faithful and loving wife; Parents: Felix and Corinne Richardson Leslie; sisters and brothers.
Wanda, a wonderful homemaker, was the best mom ever according to her seven children. She loved to cook, bake (known for her cinnamon rolls), rock babies and travel. She also enjoyed hosting and teaching Bible studies and working with the Juvenile Justice
Center. Her faith and servant’s heart were a shining example and inspiration to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at Living Word Church (1916 Hwy 311 Schriever) from 8:30 am until service time at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the Presbyterian Cemetery in Gheens, LA.
Memorials may be made to Living Word Church Building Fund in memory of Wanda Falgout.
