Hilda Brantley

Hilda Midgett Brantley, 87, a native of Dare County, N.C., and resident of Houma, died at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 1, 2009. Click to enlarge Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with burial at West Lawn Cemetery in Gretna. She is survived by one daughter, Claudia Leger of Houma; two brothers, Dan Midgett of Pennsylvania and Bill Midgett of Slidell; and one grandchild, Sandra Lowrey. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Claude W. Brantley; her parents, Creedon Midgett and Lois O’Neal Midgett; one son, Claude “C.W.” Brantley Jr.; one brother, Lindsay Midgett. She was a homemaker and parishioner of United Methodist Church
