Most of his customers became lifelong friends. The store still bears his name and, after his retirement, Mr. Williams turned over its operation to three of his daughters and one son. During his life, Mr. Williams worked tirelessly to support his Church and Vandebilt Catholic High School and was a charter member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Houma. In retirement he worked at the St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy distributing needed medications to the less fortunate. Throughout Houma and most of Terrebonne Parish he was affectionately known simply as, "Mr. Earl." His family wishes to thank Frs. Simon Peter and Josh Rodrigue of St. Francis de Sales Church for their prayers and kind words of consolation offered bedside. The family also wishes to thank the dedicated people of Terrebonne General Medical Center and Haydel Hospice for their kind and professional services. In lieu flowers, the family requests donations to St. Vincent de Paul Society and St. Francis de Sales Church in Mr. Earl’s name.
