Donald Joseph Boudreaux, 87, died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 03:15 PM. He was a native of Golden Meadow, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 5:00pm until 9:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 9:00am until service time at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 11:00am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Burial: A private burial will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery at a later date. He is survived by his, Sons: David Boudreaux and wife Beth, James Boudreaux and wife Sherry, Don Boudreaux and wife Trudy, Dale Boudreaux and wife Sharon, Daughters: Sharon Potter and husband Teddy, Michelle Bourdier and husband Allen, Brothers: Julius Boudreaux, Sister: Rose Duplantis, Lola Silver, Grandchildren: Kathryn Boudreaux, Emily Landry, Gregory Boudreaux, Dorothy Meche, David J. Potter, Cody Potter, Nicholas Potter, James Boudreaux II, Jason Boudreaux, Christina Vauk, Katie Riney, Tyler Boudreaux, Caitlin Boudreaux, Amber Arnold, Dylan Boudreaux, Evan Boudreaux, Tech Sgt. Ryan Bourdier, Andrew Bourdier, Craig Bourdier, Sean Bourdier, Tommy Potter, Angela Hunt, Great Grandchildren: 28 and Great Great Grandchildren: 5. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: Dorothy Marie Bergeron Boudreaux, Parents: Julian Mitchell and Sedonia Cheramie Boudreaux,and Brother: Walton Boudreaux. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp who served his nation in World War II, the Korean War, and Vietnam. His career spanned over two decades with service to his country. He had a career at the V.A. Office in the Tri-Parish area and worked with them for many years. He loved photography and traveling. He has been to 50 states and 7 countries. He was a member of the Fire House Squares Club. And he was a pioneer in Genealogy, devoting time and energy finding ancestors of any and all who asked. His 50 books of researching Acadian families are in the North Terrebonne Library where he was a member for many years. The family would like to thank his care givers Nicholas Potter and Don Boudreaux, Haydel Hospice, and Nathaniel Ward.
