Robert James Trahan, 73, died Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 1:15 PM. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 from 9:00am until service time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. A Liturgy of the Word will be held on Wednesday,April 1, 2015 at 11:00AM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his companion of 25 years, Judy Grabert; son, Jason Trahan and wife, Jane of Raceland, LA;daughters, Melina Smith and husband, Mike of Chauvin, LA, Bobbie Ann Trahan of Maryland, and Nicole Folse and husband, Earl of Thibodeaux, LA; ten Grandchildren and eight Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his, parents, Rufus and Beatrice Dupre Trahan; brothers; Ned and Danny Trahan. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and a member of American Legion Post 0401. He also had a love and appreciation of classic cars.
