Dorothy “Dot” Matthews Sevier, 85, died Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 07:10 PM. She was a native of Breaux Bridge, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 9:00 AM until funeral time at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, husband of 63 years, Victor Henry Sevier, Jr.; children, Dr. Victor Henry Sevier, III, Sarah Sevier Chauvin and husband, Gene, Jr., and Dorothy Claire S. Fontenot, Matthew Browne Sevier and wife, Jill; grandchildren, Kayce Sevier, Stephanie Prejean and husband, Shane, Brittany Sevier, Ross Chauvin and wife, Dominque, Michelle Means and husband, Brock, Katie Fontenot and fiance, Matthew Cormier, Jason Fontenot and partner, Heather Falcon, Melinda Sevier and Theresa Sevier; great-grandchild, Aliyah Fontenot. She was preceded in death by her, parents, Wilson and Marie Melancon Matthews.
