Lance Evan Bland, 53, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Houma, died Friday, Feb. 27, 2015.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Houma. Service time will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.
He is survived by his son, Logan Bland; father, Larry Bland and wife, Karan; brother, Deron and wife, Leslie; sisters, Laurel and husband, Joey Henry, and Traci and husband, Andre Daigle; nieces and nephews, Dr. Samantha Bland and Duncan Bland, Ethan and Annelise Henry and MacKenzee and Tate Daigle.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret R. Bland; and grandparents, Leon and Beryl Bland and Jules Sr. and Rita Rebelle.
Lance had a Petroleum Engineering Degree and a master's degree in business administration.
He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid LSU football fan.
Lance was an organ donor.
