Rosa was born in 1921 to a family of 11, a farming family, and all have passed before her. She was orphaned at a young age and raised by her sister. She graduated from Charity Nursing School and later met Isaac J. Savoie. They married in 1944 and moved to Bayou Blue where they raised their family.
Rosa nursed many in Terrebonne General Hospital and late did private nursing duty. She was a servant to many people in the area. She supported her family as a wife and mother while her husband supported the family by his dental practice. She was a strong supporter of First Baptist Church as she believed in Jesus Christ as her savior.
The Kingdom of Heaven will be enriched by her voice as she loved to sing the hymns of our Lord.
