Betty Jean Moore, 88, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at 07:20 PM. She was a native of Vivian (Trees), LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 23, 2015 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Burial: Terrebonne Memorial Park. She is survived by her, Daughters: Gail Moore Mire, Jeri Moore Thompson and spouse Mitch, Connie Moore and spouse Debra Hunt, Grandchildren: Dana Lirette and fiancee' Krystal Alcott, Lauren Lirette Haydel and spouse Patrick, Aimee Lirette Abbott and spouse Nate, Michelle Thompson and Phil Thomas, Ben Thompson and spouse Lindsey, Patrick Thompson and spouse Lindsay, Lina Schmidt Hollis and spouse Michael, Andrea Nicki Vasquez and spouse Efrain, She is also survived by ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her, Spouse: Joseph Moore, Parents: Harvey Wheeler and Ethel Lowe Wheeler, Brother: James Wade O'Neal, Sister: Lila Edris O'Neal Graves, She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She loved the outdoors. A few of her favorite hobbies were cycling, fishing, hunting, camping, golfing, and gardening. She was proud of her gold medals she won at the Senior Olympics in Cycling. She was proud of the trophy fish and deer that she had. She was most proud of her loving family, especially her grandchildren. The family request donations to be made to The American Heart Association and the Alzheimer's Association. Betty's daughters would like to sincerely thank Michelle Thompson and Phil Thomas for the love, care, and support they have given for so long to Betty. The family would also like to thank the nurses and staff of Haydel Hospice.
