Madeline Hutcherson Ellender

Madeline Hutcherson Ellender, 93, a native and resident of Bourg, died at 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2008 Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Ann Community Center. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial at St. Ann Cemetery. She is survived by her three sons, Edward Ellender Jr. and wife, Ruby Bergeron Ellender, Judson Ellender and wife, Connie Pellegrin Ellender, and Clark Ellender and wife, Judy Scott Ellender; three daughters, Helen E. Pitre, Dorothy E. Prosperie and husband, Miguel, and Darlene E. Bergeron and husband, Stanley III; daughter-in-law, Barbara Breaux Ellender; son-in-law, Horace Cunningham; three brothers, Larry Hutcherson, Eldon Hutcherson and Floyd Hutcherson; three sisters, Lillian Cunningham, Margie B. Clement and Lydia Falgout; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ellender Sr.; parents, Whitney Hutcherson and Clara Deroche Hutcherson; her son, Whitney Ellender; her daughter, Adeline E. Cunningham; two brothers, Rudolph Hutcherson and John Hutcherson; adopted brother, Ervin “Bill” Hutcherson; and two sisters, Elaine LeBlanc and Elodie Fanguy. She was a homemaker and parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
