Russell “Bobby” Joseph Bergeron, 86, a native of Schriever and resident of Houma, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Gregory Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by one son, Glenn Bergeron of Houma; four daughters, Mary Chancey, Karol Freeman and husband, Laddie, Shelley Ann Crain and husband, Greg, of Houma, and Kathryn Hammons and husband, Roger, of Lake Jackson, Texas; four sisters, Myron Dimaggio of Covington, Ruby Cormier of Thibodaux, Pat Bergeron and Bonnie Jean Thibodeaux of Houma; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, June Poirrier Bergeron; his parents, Dewey Bergeron and Laura Ann Boudreaux Bergeron; and one sister, Jackie Duhe.
He was a retired manager for Republic Supply and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean War and World War II.
He was a parishioner of St. Gregory Catholic Church.
