Elton Darsey

Elton Anthony Darsey, 100, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008. Visitation will be from noon to funeral time Saturday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the cathedral with burial to follow in St. Francis de Sales cemetery No. 1. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clothilde Ostendorf Darsey, his parents, Auretile Ozema Darsey and Angelle Malbrough Darsey; two brothers, Elphy Darsey and Elmer Darsey and four sisters, Elier Darsey, Ella Darsey Robichaux, Estella Darsey Volkmer and Ethel Darsey Wileke. He was a lawyer with a juris doctorate from Loyola Law School and a parishioner at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
