Donald Richard Robinson Sr., 69, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Buras Robinson of Houma; two daughters, Mary Richey and husband, Johnnie, of Powhatan, Ark., and Julie Fanguy and husband, Edward, of Houma; two sisters, Rita Godwin of Booneville, Miss., and Hazel Maniscalco of Arabi; five grandchildren, Brad Fanguy, Hannah and Amber Robinson, Stephanie and Shawn Richey; and one great-grandchild, Morgan Babineaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ross Robinson and Caroline Rabalis Robinson; one son, Donald ‘Bubba” Robinson Jr.; one grandson, Timothy Robinson; and one brother, Jules Robinson.
He was a retired security guard with Vincent Guard and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of Word of Faith.
