Shirley Mae McMurray, 93, died Wednesday, January 14, 2015. She was a native of Houma, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Monday, January 19, 2015 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Liturgy of the Word will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. She is survived by her, Grand Daughter: Sara Ann McMurray and Godson: Randal Gary. She was preceded in death by her, Spouse: William “Bill” McMurray, Parents: L.V. Daunis and Marie Levron Daunis, Son: Ron McMurray, Brother: Earl Daunis, Sisters: Jeanne Fabregas, Louise Bauland, Juliet LeBlanc and Ura Lee Daunis, She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a retired school teacher from Terrebonne Parish School Board. She was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp and served her country during the Second World War. The family would like to thank her sitters and the staff at The Homestead for excellent care and support.
