Angel Manuel Merlos, 81, died Monday, January 12, 2015 at 05:40 AM. He was a native of Jatibonico, Cuba and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 10:00am to Noon at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Noon at St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Son: Manuel F. Merlos and wife Martha of Houma LA, Daughter: Alina Merlos of Houma LA, Brother: Juan Merlos of West Palm Beach FL, Sisters: Maria L. Merlos and Matilde Merlos, all of Cuba, Grandchildren: Manuel F. Merlos II and wife Megan and Anna Marie Merlos, Great Grand Daughter: Olivia Ann Merlos. He was preceded in death by his, Spouse: Oneida Merlos, Parents: Manuel and Carmen Merlos and Sister: Teresa Merlos Gonzales. He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. He worked at Main Iron Works for forty four years. He was devoted to his family, his children, and grandchildren. He was good with his hands and never met a stranger. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to The United Way for South Louisiana.
