Stephen “Steve” Haddad, 88, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:26 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at noon Thursday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by three sons, Michael S. Haddad and wife, Kay Guidry Haddad, of Mandeville, Wayne P. Haddad and wife, Kathleen Morvant Haddad of Bourg, and John G. Haddad and wife, Mary Robinson Haddad of Houma; one daughter, Carolyn Haddad Barrios of Houma; one brother, Joseph F. Haddad of Houma; eight grandchildren, Bryan and wife, Rachel, Jared, Brent, Stephen, Jason, Ashley, Olivia and Jordan Haddad; and one great-grandchild, Colin Haddad.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne Naquin Haddad; his parents, George Haddad and Florida Mohana Haddad; one granddaughter, Gina Haddad; one brother, Anthony Haddad; and three sisters, Marguerite DeWolfe, Lilly Davis, and Sister Dolores Haddad M.S.C.
He was the owner of Haddad Electric Company and a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the American Legion.
He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
