Mae Duplantis LeBlanc, 90, a native and resident of Houma, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by two sons, John Wayne LeBlanc and wife, Susan, and Bernard “Benny” LeBlanc; three daughters, Joy LeBlanc Rogers and husband, the Rev. Robert Rogers, Elizabeth “Liz” Dugas and husband, Ronald, and Retta LeBlanc Babin and husband, Barry; one daughter-in-law, Liz McElroy LeBlanc; one brother, Paul Duplantis and wife, Patsy; one sister, Lillian MiMi Romano and husband, Al; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley E. LeBlanc; her parents, Isaie Paul Duplantis and Odelia Duplantis; one daughter-in-law, Doris Bourg LeBlanc; and three sisters, Mercedes Ment Ellzey, Gladys Black and Nolia Duplantis.
She was a retired switch board operator with Bank One, a charter member of the Ladies Altar Society, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and a lifetime member of the Catholic Daughters of America.
