Jacqueline “Jackie” Theresa Guidry Crochet, 67, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:58 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph “J.V.” Vincent Crochet of Houma; her mother, Winona Dazee Guidry of Thibodaux; two sons, Bennet Crochet and wife, Erin, of Madison, Wis., and Garret Crochet and wife, Shatel, of Houma; one daughter, Eugenie Brown and husband, Chris, of Houma; one sister, Joan Guidry Babin of Houma; one sister-in-law, Suzanne Crochet of Houma; four grandchildren, Jessica Brown, Lilly Crochet, Ruby Crochet and Margeaux Crochet; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, J.E. “Hurry Hurry” Guidry; her grandparents, Joseph and Mathilde DeLaune Dazee, Demais and Yumah Manceaux Guidry; and her mother and father-in-law, Curll J. Crochet and Elise Margaret Hebert Crochet.
She was a receptionist with Special Ed with the Terrebonne Parish School Board, a 50-year member of the Catholic Daughters and a 1958 graduate of St. Francis School.
She was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
