Mary Evelina Evelina Sons Bernadou

Mary Sons Bernadou, 98, a native of Berwick and resident of Bourg, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008. Graveside service was held at 10 a.m. today at Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Rosetta Chatagnier and husband, Thomas Chatagnier Jr., of Houma, and Myra Voclain and husband, Douglas Voclain, of Bourg; one son, James Chaisson and wife, Donna, of Friendswood, Texas; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Bernadou; her parents, Julian Sons and Marie Ishwich Sons; two daughters, Niese Chaisson and Mildred Stratton; six brothers, Justin, Chester, Arthur, Elwood, Richard and Wilton Sons; and five sisters, Agnes LeBlanc, Florence Bourg, Maggie McNeil, Inez Sons and Aggie Sons. She was a retired seamstress and a Jehovah’s Witness with Kingdom Hall.
