Jeanette Cossey Fisher

Jeanette Cossey Fisher, 75, a native of Columbia and resident of Chauvin, died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Fisher of Chauvin; two sons, Johnny Howard and wife, Jeanne, of Chauvin and Gary Howard of Columbia; two sisters, Jackie Weeks of Columbia and Frances Hatten of Avinger, Texas; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifton “Shorty” Howard; her parents, Lury Cossey and Jessie Mae Cossey; and one daughter-in-law, Melissa Howard. She was a homemaker.
