Bryan Joseph Samanie, 43, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Houma, died of a massive heart attack at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, 2008.
Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his bride, Aimee Rebecca Grabert Samanie of Houma; his mother, Earline Lirette Samanie of Bayou Blue; one daughter, Katie Lyn Samanie; two sons, Barret Samanie and Beau Samanie of Houma; three sisters, Patricia Samanie of Bayou Blue, Elaine and husband, Barry Cabellero, of Houma, Debra and husband, Donald LeBoeuf, of Schriever; one brother, Julius Samanie Jr. of Bayou Blue; father and mother-in-law Richard and Carla Grabert of New Iberia; brother-in-law Christopher Grabert and wife, Ashley; sister-in-law Leslee Saltzman and husband, Michelo, of Broussard; nephews Joe Blanchard of Houma and Jacob Blanchard of Port Neches, Texas; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Samanie; and his grandparents, Harry and Therese Esteve Lirette and Ivy and Angella Hebert Samanie.
