Leona Chatagnier Bourg, 89, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home, and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church, with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin.
She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Giroir and husband, Ronald, Brunella Duplantis, Debra DeHart and husband, Mardius, of Houma, and Bonnie Eubanks of N.C.; one brother, Medelton Chatagnier of Houma; and one sister, Thelma Collins of Houma; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bourg; her parents, Willis Chatagnier and Lovina Lyons Chatagnier; one son, Patrick Bourg; three daughters, Melissa Bourg, Sarah Ann Bourg and Mary Joyce Bourg; one son-in-law Warner Duplantis Sr.; one grandson Warner Duplantis Jr.; and three brothers, Eldrin Chatagnier, Edward Chatagnier, and Wilbert Chatagnier.
She was a retired cook with the Terrebonne Parish School Board and a member of St. Joseph Ladies Altar Society. She was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church
