Lois Marie Remont Burton, 78, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at 07:50 AM. She was a native of Cut Off, LA and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 from 10:00 AM until funeral time at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. with Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM. Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2 She is survived by her, daughter, Roxanne Elizabeth Burton Bradford and husband, George S.; grandson, Richard Edward Burton, IV; grand-daughter, Heather Elizabeth Burton Rahm and husband, Michael; great-grand-daughter, Reid Elizabeth Rahm; daughter-in-law, Kristi Duplantis; brothers, Louis "Gene" Remont and wife, Erika "Rickey", and Dale J. Remont and wife, Sandy; sister, Miriam Remont Tivet and companion, John Guidry; sister-in-law, Kay Dee Remont. She was preceded in death by her, husband of 31 years, Richard "Foozy" Edward Burton, Jr.; parents, Edmond Joseph and Ozite Josephine Galliano Remont; son, Richard "Dickie" Edward Burton, III; brother, Larry J. Remont. She was Catholic. She retired from the U.S. Sugar Cane Laboratory in Houma after 40 years of service. She was a cancer survivor. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with family members. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
