Earon John Poincot, 95, died Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 08:04 AM. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 11:00am at St. Louis Catholic Church. Burial: St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Judy Poincot Accardo, wife of the late Jules P. Accardo, their daughter, Linda Accardo Falgoust and husband Paul and sons Jeffery and Jerry Accardo; son, Lloyd J. Poincot, Sr and his wife Belen, their sons Lloyd J. Poincot, Jr and wife Susan and Randall A. Poincot and wife Andrea, son Donald A. Poincot and wife Deborah, their Children, Michelle Poincot Monterio and husband Charles, Shane Poincot and Angelle Poincot Thibodeaux; daughter, Joan Poincot Plaisance and husband Gary R. Plaisance, Sr, their children, Gary R. Plaisance, Jr and wife Dorothy, Jennifer Plaisance Porche and husband Clint and Taylor J. Plaisance II and wife Judy; great grandchildren, Mason, Blake, Gabrielle, Lloyd III, Julie, Randall, Jr (RJ), Rita, Kayla, Kyleigh, Charles (Beau), William (Deuce), Boogie, Allyssa, Taylor III, Earon, Tyler and William; and Great-great Grandson, Ryley. He was preceded in death by his:Wife of 74 years, Lydia Lirette Poincot, Parents, Alfa and Malvina "Elvire" Poincot, and Brother, Clarence J. Poincot and wife Ernestine. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Earon was a vegetable farmer, a cattle farmer and was best known as the Pumpkin man from Bayou Blue. He was a member of The Cattlemen’s Association. He was a past chairman of the Bayou Blue Food and Fun Festival, and was in charge of St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery for 25 years. He was a Terrebonne Parish school bus driver for 17 years. He helped many families start their new homes by installing sewer systems and digging ditches.
